White Reserves 2, Polonia Reserves 0

The reserves returned to winning ways last Sunday with a much needed win over the Poles.

Despite focused, collective play during the first half CPR were unable to breakdown the Polonia defense and the half ended 0-0 at the Metropolitan Oval.

The manager's call for upping the tempo and supporting each other resulted in a positive response from the Rangers when striker Amos latched onto a through ball in the box and slid it past the on-rushing Polonia keeper. 1-0 to Los Blancos. As was expected the Rangers successfully shifted the gears up and continued to apply greater pressure on the visitors. Out of almost nothing, winger Jules recovered possession at the edge of the box and flicked past not one, not two but three defenders all together before he rounded the keeper and got the vital second goal. CPR were officially in the ascendancy with the Frenchman's  inspired play.

Led by Joe at the back, Los Blancos went on to protect the clean sheet with spirited defense and intellegent decision making.

All in all, it was a passionate second half display that secured the win and all three points for the Rangers reserves.
