The reserves started off a bit disjointedly and gave away an early goal. But a slick move saw the two strikers combine in the box as Muzza fed Chris Norelli to score his first goal for the club. We started imposing ourselves on the game but gave away a poor penalty and were behind again. We came out in the second period even stronger and dictated much of the play. But we found it hard to breach the Rovers defense as Carlos repeatedly tried to find an opening to release the strikers. Finally, as Ethan made a ranging run from the back Carlos did connect his pass as Ethan ghosted in between two defenders and slid in the ball from close range. Minutes later we were awarded a free kick from the edge of the area and Ethan stepped up again to score and give us the lead for the first time. We comfortably saw out the remaining minutes of the game and took away the 3-2 victory our superior play and hard work deserved.
