After going ahead CPR Firsts' went down 4-2 at The Met Oval on Sunday. Trying to put behind them a tough string of results they where able to dominate much of the first half with a fine display of passing and movement. A couple of half chances where created as the Albanians were forced into taking long distance strikes, though with Ben doing well to save a downward header near the end of the first period, the half ended goalless. CPR started the second half as we did the first and finally grabbed the breakthrough we deserved when a throw in found Kwesi in the box who cut inside the defender and found the bottom corner of the net. Unfortunately the home team were not able to capitalize on this advantage and it wasn't long before an Albanian shot from the edge of the area went in off the post. And to make things worse only minutes later a defensive give away resulted in a second for the Albanians fall. Then as CPR continued to battle to force a draw, another clinical finish after a well worked move saw The Whites' fall even further behind. Though a Kwesi header managed to get CPR back into the game once again, as they continued to push for an elusive equalizer they were inevitably caught short at the back and were undone yet again by the left wingers speed and incisive strike.
