The reserves wiped out the zero in NYAC's loss column, posting an excellent 1-0 victory. A somewhat weakened team, bolstered by help from a few CPR "reds" players, put in a tenacious display to thwart NYAC's efforts. Great credit goes to the defence that kept waves of attacks and corners away from the goal. And when the opposition did work a chance, Jason Bell, helping out in goal, was outstanding. The breakthrough came early in the second half as good work from Nikle on the left wing, saw the ball cut back to Andres free in the area, who drilled the ball low and hard into the net. We survived an onslaught late on and emerged worthy winners.
